Website Development

My work with all of my clients over the past few years has always involved some work relating to the Internet (or Intranet). Website design not only uses a lot of wide-ranging technologies like HTML, DHTML, ASP, Java and VB Script (all used for writing static and dynamic web pages) but it also takes a fair proportion of artistic ability and wordsmanship!
The website I developed for Electro Furnace Products did not just drawn on my experience as a programmer and website designer, it also helped that I have formal qualifications in engineering and electronics - as it was certainly advantageous to understand and appreciate the technology that I was promoting.
An example of one of my smaller - yet appealing - website developments is the AudioPartners web presence.
Other recent website developments (apart from the one you are viewing now) have been on corporate Intranets (such as the BP website to promote and co-ordinate their deployment project) and unfortunately this means that I am unable to show them here.
If you want to follow in my footsteps then I can thoroughly recommend the following books:
  • Frontpage 2000 Developer's Guide (ISBN 0-07-211972-1)
  • Flash5 in Easy Steps (ISBN 1-84078-126-2)
  • Web Development with Visual InterDev 6 (ISBN 1-861002-94-7)
  • Active Server Pages 3.0 (ISBN 1-861003-38-2)
